Stats, levels, turn-based fights, quests with numbered steps. RPG parodies borrow a world with a built-in map and give you something to do in it besides talk, which also makes them the longest games on the site. RPG Maker is the obvious engine and most of the hub, with Unity and a few Ren'Py hybrids for the rest. Browser builds are rare here; most of these are downloads, and the size line is worth reading first.
